How to prepare and heal

Simple steps that help your skin hold color softly and evenly. Questions while healing? Text Holly at (360) 977-2507.

Perma Brows

Pre-care · before your visit

A calm, healthy skin holds pigment best. These simple steps help your brows heal soft and even.

2–4 weeks before

  • Botox and fillers: no treatments near the brows for 2 weeks (fillers 4 weeks).
  • Peels, laser, microneedling: none on the face for 3 weeks.
  • Retinol, AHA/BHA: pause near the brows for 2 weeks.
  • Sun: no tanning or sunburn on the face.

The last few days

  • No brow waxing, tinting or threading for 1 week.
  • No alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours.
  • Skip aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 48 hours, only if your doctor agrees.

On the day

  • Come with clean skin and no brow makeup.
  • Your brows look beautiful from day one, like fresh professional makeup.

Please tell Holly before your visit if you are pregnant or nursing, take Accutane or blood thinners, are in cancer treatment, or have diabetes, a heart condition or keloid scarring.

After-care · while you heal

How to care for your brows while they heal.

Day 1 · tonight

  • Slight redness is normal on the first day.
  • Before bed, gently wipe your brows with a clean cotton pad and plain water to remove any lymph.
  • Then apply a thin layer of the healing cream.

Day 2 to week 2

  • Keep brows dry for 2 weeks, or until all flaking is gone: no water, steam, sweat, sauna, pool or workouts.
  • If they get wet while washing or in the shower, gently pat dry with a clean tissue.
  • Healing cream once a day, for the first week only.
  • Wash your face around the brows. No makeup or sunscreen on them.
  • Don’t touch, scratch or pick. Let flakes fall on their own.

What to expect

  • Week 1: your brows look beautiful, like fresh professional makeup.
  • Week 2: light flaking may appear. Keep them dry.
  • Weeks 4–6: healed and light: 40–60% of the color fades. The Perfecting Session completes it.

After healing

  • Wait 4 weeks for Botox, peels or laser near the brows. SPF keeps color longer.

Good to know: after your first session heals, 40–60% of the color fades, so it looks light and soft. This is normal. Your Perfecting Session in 4–6 weeks builds the color to your final result.

Call Holly and your doctor if redness spreads after day 1, or you notice pus, heat or fever.

Perma Lips

Pre-care · before your visit

Lips heal quickly, but they are the most sensitive area. These steps keep them calm and your color true.

2–3 weeks before

  • Cold sores: if you have ever had one, ask your doctor about an antiviral to start before your visit.
  • Lip filler: none for 3 weeks. Botox: none for 2 weeks.
  • Sun: no tanning or sunburn on the lips.

The last few days

  • Gently exfoliate and moisturize your lips for 2–3 days.
  • No alcohol, caffeine or energy drinks for 24 hours.
  • Skip aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 48 hours, only if your doctor agrees.

On the day

  • Come with bare lips: no lipstick or plumping gloss.
  • Eat a light meal before you come. You will be with Holly about 3 hours.
  • Lips look brighter and fuller for a few days. Plan events after that.

Please tell Holly before your visit if you are pregnant or nursing, take Accutane or blood thinners, are in cancer treatment, or have diabetes or an autoimmune condition.

After-care · while you heal

How to care for your lips while they heal.

Day 1

  • Every hour, gently blot your lips with a clean tissue and plain water. This keeps them clean and helps prevent infection.
  • Apply the healing cream every time your lips feel dry.
  • Swelling? A cool, wrapped compress for a few minutes helps.

First week

  • Keep lips soft: cream whenever they feel dry.
  • Drink through a straw for the first 3–4 days.
  • No kissing, no spicy, salty or very hot food.
  • No lip treatments: filler, scrubs, lipstick or gloss.
  • No pool, sauna or steam. Don’t pick peeling skin.

What to expect

  • Days 1–2: swollen and brighter than expected. This is normal.
  • Days 3–7: light peeling. Color may look faded after it.
  • Weeks 4–6: healed and soft: 40–60% of the color fades. The Perfecting Session completes it.

After healing

  • If your doctor prescribed an antiviral, finish the full course.
  • Perfecting Session 4–6 weeks after your visit. SPF lip balm keeps color longer.

Good to know: after your first session heals, 40–60% of the color fades, so it looks light and soft. This is normal. Your Perfecting Session in 4–6 weeks builds the color to your final result.

Call Holly and your doctor if you see blisters (a cold sore), spreading redness, pus or fever.

Day 2 to day 7 · dry healing

  • Keep the lash line dry: no water, steam, sauna, pool or workouts.

  • Weeks 2–4: healed and soft: 40–60% of the color fades. The Perfecting Session completes it.

After healing

  • Start with new mascara and eyeliner.
