How do I prepare for my Perma Brows procedure?
A calm, healthy skin holds pigment best. These simple steps help your brows heal soft and even.
2–4 weeks before
- Botox and fillers: no treatments near the brows for 2 weeks (fillers 4 weeks).
- Peels, laser, microneedling: none on the face for 3 weeks.
- Retinol, AHA/BHA: pause near the brows for 2 weeks.
- Sun: no tanning or sunburn on the face.
The last few days
- No brow waxing, tinting or threading for 1 week.
- No alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours.
- Skip aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 48 hours, only if your doctor agrees.
On the day
- Come with clean skin and no brow makeup.
- Your brows look beautiful from day one, like fresh professional makeup.
Please tell Holly before your visit if you are pregnant or nursing, take Accutane or blood thinners, are in cancer treatment, or have diabetes, a heart condition or keloid scarring.
How do I care for my brows after the procedure?
Day 1 · tonight
- Slight redness is normal on the first day.
- Before bed, gently wipe your brows with a clean cotton pad and plain water to remove any lymph.
- Then apply a thin layer of the healing cream.
Day 2 to week 2
- Keep brows dry for 2 weeks, or until all flaking is gone: no water, steam, sweat, sauna, pool or workouts.
- If they get wet while washing or in the shower, gently pat dry with a clean tissue.
- Healing cream once a day, for the first week only.
- Wash your face around the brows. No makeup or sunscreen on them.
- Don’t touch, scratch or pick. Let flakes fall on their own.
What to expect
- Week 1: your brows look beautiful, like fresh professional makeup.
- Week 2: light flaking may appear. Keep them dry.
- Weeks 4–6: healed and light: 40–60% of the color fades. The Perfecting Session completes it.
After healing
- Wait 4 weeks for Botox, peels or laser near the brows. SPF keeps color longer.
Good to know: after your first session heals, 40–60% of the color fades, so it looks light and soft. This is normal. Your Perfecting Session in 4–6 weeks builds the color to your final result.
Call Holly and your doctor if redness spreads after day 1, or you notice pus, heat or fever.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe it as very comfortable. Numbing is used throughout, and some clients even fall asleep. One client compared it to Botox: “you know exactly what it feels like — it’s not even that bad.”
I have old permanent makeup. Can you work over it?
Please contact Holly first and send a clear photo of your brows, lips or lash line in daylight for assessment. Holly works on clean skin, so old pigment often needs to be lightened before a new procedure. After seeing the photo, she will tell you honestly what is possible.
How much does it really cost?
The price is always told up front. The procedure plus the Perfecting Session 4–6 weeks later make the full journey. The follow-up after that is complimentary. There is no deposit to book.
What if I don’t like the shape?
You approve the design on your face before anything is permanent. At the Perfecting Session Holly can adjust details once the color has healed.
How long do brows last?
The healed result usually lasts 1–3 years. When about 60–70% of the color has faded, a Color Refresh ($400) brings it back. For some clients that is after one year, for others after two or three — it depends on lifestyle, sun, skincare and how your skin held the color.
